5 Tips to Consider When Starting Your Community
Would you ever believe that this amazing community I'm speaking to here started with just three things: an email, my pregnancy story, and a little bit of courage?
Sometimes I still find it hard to believe that it's me standing up in front of this room full of people....and that in ten years I did this 1,200 times in person...and an additional 250+ times virtually.
It's been a minute and there are a lot of new faces here, so I wanted to re-introduce myself to you. I'm @LindsayPinchuk and in 2010 I started my first company, a community, which I bootstrapped and grew it to 7-figures in revenue reaching 3MM users per month, before selling it less than a decade later.
In 2021, I realized I wanted to move on, to take on a new challenge. And so last September I started my new venture: Lindsay Pinchuk Marketing + Consulting AND my podcast, @dearfoundher.
Now, you can work with me to build and monetize YOUR own community through content, social medial, email, partnerships and collaborations.
Building a community from scratch taught me so many incredible lessons applicable to any business. You can take these with you today and put them into action:
1. When you show up as YOU and share yourself, you build an irreplaceable connection with your community---both IRL and virtually.
2. Don't ever make a short sighted decision compromising your integrity with your community. Be honest and transparent---you will have customers (and friends) for life.
3. When you build a community who trusts you, can you ask them for help with anything.
4. Your community is your best word-of-mouth marketer.
5. The more you give to your community, the more you will receive in return.
These are the key principals behind my first business, behind THIS business, and behind every lesson I teach you.
My bucket hasn't been this full for a VERY long time. Thank you for being here and for your continued support and love. I truly can't tell you how much it means as this new venture continues to grow.
Now tell me, what do you want me to share with our community right here. Nothing is off limits....feel free to comment below, email me or DM me.
