Dear FoundHer… with Rachel Apfel Glass, Founder of GLOSSLAB

Dear FoundHer…

When I was growing my first business, I had no idea how to raise capital.  I didn’t speak the language of finance, so I am forever thankful to the women, and men, who took my phone calls and walked me through the process. The old saying that "it's not what you know - but who you know” rings true.

Honestly, when I first started I didn’t even know that raising money was an option. I bootstrapped Bump Club and Beyond until I eventually led its acquisition to garner the resources I needed for growth.

I created the Dear FoundHer Podcast to help women who were like me navigate the crazy world of business growth, because despite the beautiful pictures we see on Instagram,  we are all just trying to figure things out in our businesses. Providing access to information is why communities like the Dear FoundHer Facebook Community are essential. When women come together from diverse backgrounds and experiences to share resources and information, everyone wins.

Today on the podcast, I introduce you to Rachel Apfel Glass, Founder of GLOSSLAB, a membership-based waterless nail studio. We to go behind the curtain and discuss what it really takes to fund and expand your business into different markets. We also discuss how Rachel is disrupting the nail industry by solving the consumer's problems with cutting-edge technology -i.e., waterless manicures and pedicures performed in a modern cashless environment.

Rachel is the first guest I interviewed who I didn’t know prior, but wanted to know more after only an hour of discussion.  And I know that you will too!

Enjoy today’s episode.  Feel free to email or DM me—I want to know your favorite takeaway!

As always, more to come, Have a great week,

Lindsay
