Five Favorite Tools for Small Business Owners

Small business owners wear so many hats and manage so many roles. Putting proper systems and tools into place will help you to run your business in the most efficient manner. I’ve recently created a special guide: Five Tips + Top Tools for Getting Your Business Off the Ground. You can download it here for more.

I've tried many different tools over the years. These are my five must haves for all new business owners...and the ones that will save you time immediately.

Canva: This tool is like having a design pro in your back pocket. From social media assets to one-sheeters, you can legit make anything on it. I've been using it for years and don't know what I ever did without it.

Calendly: This has been a game changer for setting up appointments, and creating work flow reminders and automations for people I am meeting with. You truly can let Calendly take care of everything once you set it up.

Honeybook: Since I started my new business I've been using this for invoicing, contracts and B2B automation. I am still learning it, but whether it's this or another program. you can't go into business without some kind of invoicing platform. I find this one to be super simple and the customer service has been great. BONUS: it also plugs into Quickbooks if you are going to use that for accounting. Later: This is my favorite and preferred method for scheduling social media. I love the options and you can attach all of your social posts to be scheduled here---IG, FB, Twitter, LinkedIn. I've also used Hootsuite and I thought it was easy to use, but I preferred to use Later.

MailerLite: I just started using this tool to manage my email database and for email marketing and so far I LOVE it. It's intuitive and easy to use. It's also free for up to 1,000 contacts. I've also used Mailchimp and Constant Contact in the past, and people also rave about Flodesk. (Just to give you some options!)

SquareSpace: (I decided to add a sixth because a website is so important and I love this platform so much.) I built my entire website on Squarespace and I love it. It's easy to use, intuitive and plugs in with many of the other programs I use, or plan to use in the future.
