5 Ways Women Can Support One Another

March 8, 2020—-this was the last event I went to before the world shut down. Surrounding by an amazing panel of women (shown here) we continued to support each other over the last two years in the best ways possible.

I couldn't decide what I wanted to post today, to mark one of my favorite days of the year. But then in my IG stories I came across two amazing founders who I met right here on the 'gram...and who met each other RIGHT HERE on my posts. The power of supporting one another wasn't lost on me as I watched this collaboration come to fruition. (Check out @allybrooke_designs and her pop-up at @rebeldaughtercookies today!)

So even if you are not a business owner, we, women, can still support each other in every way possible. This is a notion that runs through my DNA and truly, there is nothing on this planet better than watching others succeed, especially when you help to boost them up just a little along the way. Here are five ways that you can support one another today and every day of the year:

  1. Share female founded businesses with others! While sharing them on social media and tagging them is amazing---recommend them too when your friends ask for referrals.

  2. Share your expertise. Whether it's with a female founder or someone who you see can use a little help in an area where you excel---offer to help. If you do have friends who are running a business, they likely don't have endless means---if there is something you can offer to help them make an impact, offer to do so. The pure feeling of helping someone makes doing so worthwhile.

  3. When a woman in your life achieves something---large or small---celebrate with them, share their wins.

  4. If you know two people who you think could make magic together---introduce them. When you watch their partnership come to life it is truly incredible.

  5. Ask the women around you how you can help. If you see someone who is struggling, or if you know someone is starting something new....or even just in conversation with your friends...ASK them how you can support them.

Following these tips, and instilling a principle of support in your life every day will truly make the world a better place. This notion impacts you, those around you and those who come after you....our daughters. They're always watching.
